HUNGRY JACKS MAJOR NAMING SPONSOR FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
The HUNGRY JACKS 2010 U.I.M. WORLD POWERBOAT CHAMPIONSHIP is promising to be shaping up to be an historical Powerboat Race Event and a celebration of the amazing sport we are involved in and cherish.
FASTWATER are proud to announce Hungry Jacks as the Official Naming Partner of the 2010 World Championship event. Greg, Hungry Jacks Mildura, has been working closely with us, learning more about the event and the sport, and is very excited to be part of this event. To all our powerboat racing people, please go out and buy a Whopper or two today , tomorrow and everyday after, to support Hungry Jacks the way they are supporting the UIM Unlimited Displacement Circuit Boats. Released shortly will by further dedicated corporate supporters getting behind the event and assisting FASTWATER to lift the profile of the class and showing the world the race boats that produce awesome power, fury and high level driver skill and courage. With engines that produce up to 2000hp which pushes these boats to speeds in excess of 150mph or 250 kph, they are one of the most powerful race boat classes in the world today and have the sound to prove it!
We will keep you updated on the registering teams as they arrive into the office. With the number that we have on the list at the moment we are expecting at least another five new entries. As we can all appreciate, teams are working overtime aiming to install safety reinforced cockpits cells and the discussions that have been taking place, you would be safe to say the sport is going to thrive like never before. This article features photos of FASTWATER Display on show at THE ULTIMATES BLOKES at the showgrounds in Adelaide on the weekend. The Big Green Machine fitted a Safety Cock Cell is one of the most toughest and immaculate boats you will ever see.
In the coming weeks we will be uploading a “ride of a lifetime” in an UIM Unlimited Displacement Circuit Boat driven by Troy Marland in MADNESS. The onboard camera was placed on board MADNESS at TAREE, NSW, AUSTRALIA and on the back wing, and you will experience what it is like to travel at over 150mph on water. What a rush, and we are only looking at it from a computer.
All our media photos were supplied by Wayne Johnstone from All Race Photography. Wayne’s contribution to the sport has assisted many Clubs and volunteers promoting the sport and we thank him once again. Please visit Wayne’s Website www.allracephotography.com.au to purchase your favourite team, photo etc and support Wayne in his endeavours of promoting this sport.
Thanks to the Groovy Men from Groovy Tube. Your commitment to FASTWATER has been second to none, and without you guys our job would have been so much harder. We are very proud to work with you and look forward to producing one of the historical events the world of powerboat racing has seen. I know one of the most proudest moments will be crowning the first ever UIM UNLIMITED DISPLACEMENT WORLD CHAMPION!!!
