There are many teams that have been waiting a long time for this event, and Chris Palmer from Outlaw, you could say it has been over 18 months.  This 21ft Childsplay Cell Boat was not able to compete in the 2o10 World Championships due to health reasons for Chris, however, we have three weeks to go until the 2012 World Championships Round 1 in Mildura, and you could say this team could not be better prepared.  Recent form for  Chris Palmer, the UIM Unlimited Displacement Entrant,  easily has him sitting at No.2 in regards to speed and agility, but many say that No. 1 in the World Title, may only be a few weeks away  now.

Chris is a very experienced driver having been in the sport for many years, and has had a wealth of experience driving many types of hulls.  With the development and the improvements we have seen with this 21ft Childsplay over the last two years,  shows the commitment and dedication of this team, and their No. 1 World Title campaign is obviously all going to plan.  Not long to wait now !!

The Evolution Bar and Lounge at Mildura will be the place to be seen during Round 1. After the days racing, Evolution Lounge and Bar at Deakin Avenue, MILDURA will be providing 4 Nights of Great Entertainment. Dont miss the Friday Night World Championship Team Auction, where teams are being asked donate items which will be auctioned on the night with all proceeds to the Make A Wish Foundation. FASTWATER’s number one charity organisation. Also up for auction is a Houseboat Holiday, a Hot Air Balloon Ride and much more. Saturday night it is time to ‘BLING” up with the Afro and Bling Party. Prizes to be one for all, so pop your favourite Afro on and come and celebrate the weekend in Mildura. Sunday night will be opened especially for this World Event and I am sure after a weekend of racing, the live entertainment will be the home of the OFFICIAL AFTER PARTY. Great meals available every day, 10% for all teams and officials.

During our visit to Mildura it was a pleasant to meet the Honourable Minister Hugh Delahuntly at the Mildura Ski Club for the Official Announcement of the support of the Victorian State Government for the upcoming event. It is vital that events such as this receive the much needed financial contributions for events such as these to continue, especially in the hard financial times that we are all in. Minister Delahuntly was extremely interested and impressed with UIM World Unlimited Displacement Entrant Dave Clark with his Tuff E Nuff Cell Boat. Also present was Dave’s son James Clark with his Junior entry and Ryan Thompson, the local Mildura Junior Entry. A huge thankyou to the Tuff E Nuff team for making the effort for this announcement. We greatly appreciate it.

Dave Rankin has confirmed today, that he will be representing his country in the 2012 UIM World Circuit Boat Series, driving none other, than PATRIOT, a very fitting name for a true American Powerboat Racer. Dave was due to bring K-69 to Australia and pilot the boat himself, however they were not happy with a few issues from racing last weekend. A huge thankyou to Tony Marks and family, whom will change PATRIOT from being a Aussie Entry to the USA Entry. This is a huge coup for the sport, to see once again an American Driver in a B.A.D. Boat, to put it up to the Aussies. Now is there no excuses !! It is a USA Blown Alcohol Displacement against an AUSSIE Blown Alcohol Displacement. BRING IT ON. Thanks once again to the Patriot Racing Team and to Dave Rankin. Dave is a huge supporter of the World Series and will certainly do the USA proud.

Due to the number of enquiries we are receiving in regards to Juniors whom can not make both rounds, FASTWATER will now take entries for each round or both. We certainly dont want to make it hard for the Juniors and as they are not racing for a World Title or Championship we and we appreciate the difficulty and cost involved. Each Round will be recorded seperately and presentations available after each round.

Whilst certainly we would appreciate if everyone can make it to both rounds, if you can only race in 1 that will also be acceptable, either Mildura or Penrith.

Attention to All Competitors, Team Owners, Team Managers. This is a four week warning to advise that Entries for the 2012 World Series Close on 31st March, 2012. NO EXCEPTIONS. No Entry, No possible World Title for you ! GET THEM IN NOW TO CONFIRM.

The official entry forms have been released to the teams that will be competing in the 2012 UIM World Circuit Powerboat Series in Australia in May. Entries include all the relevant information for ALL of the classes invited to compete:

1. UIM Unlimited Displacement Circuit Boats
2. UIM 6.0 Litre Displacement Circuit Boats
3. SST 120 Asia Pacific Championship
4. Australian J1, J2 and J3 Junior Classes.

Entries will be closing at the end of March, allowing teams plenty of time to submit entry’s which is also a bonus for the many spectactors expected to attend, to learn who is going to line up in 2012.
