23rd, 24th & 25th MAY, 2014 @ TAREE, NEW SOUTH WALES

Welcome to the 2014 U.I.M. World Circuit Power Boat Championships.  This year the event is being held on the MightyManningRiver at Taree, NEW SOUTH WALES approximately a 4 hour drive past Sydney.  The town of Taree offers plenty of accommodation and the towns of Forster, Cundletown and Wingham are close by.

This year the event will feature 4 Current World Champions competing in 4 Classes proving that the “Worlds” held in Australia is one to put on your calendar.  Welcoming in the SST120 Class is Alex Carella, Current 3 x F1H20 World Champion from Itay and is the No. 1 Driver for Qatar, and stepping onto AustraliaShores for the first time and stepping into a SST120 Outboard Boat.

Current World Unlimited Displacement Champion from Australia Troy Marland will be competing for this 3rd consecutive World Championship and piloting in also the UIM 6.0 Litre Class World Championship. Chris Whalan, the current 6.0 Litre World Champion will be returning to back up his win in 2012, which will be no easy task.  For the first time also is the opportunity to witness the Grand Prix Hydroplane class.  If you have never seen the big rooster tail of water the is delivered from these boats then make your way to Taree in May, and you can witness some of the best classes the sport has to offer.

  1. UIM Unlimited Displacement World Championship
  2. UIM 6.0 Litre Displacement World Championship
  3. SST 120 Global Challenge
  4. Grand Prix Hydroplane Class
  5. Juniors J2 & J3 Class.

On land :

Childrens Amusements, Car Displays, Vintage Hydro Displays, Fully Licensed, Fully Catered Event.

ENTRY TO THE EVENT : The main Pit Area is at the end of Endeavour Place, TAREE New South Wales.  The event will be fully gated and entry tickets can be purchased on the Gate at the event or online at https://www.stickytickets.com.au/14554 .  All Adult tickets purchased online receive one complimentary Child admission per ticket per day.  A weekend saving of $10.00 per child.  Adult Entry is $20 (Saturday and Sunday) with a weekend pass of $35.00 per adult also available.  Public Gate Entry will be on River Street. Friday entry to the event is free.

GATE OPENS : Public Gate will open at 8.00am on both Saturday and Sunday

ENTRY FEES AT THE GATE :

FRIDAY – Free Entry

SATURDAY        Adults $20   Children U/16 $5   U/5 FREE

SUNDAY :         Adults $20   Children U/16 $5   U/5 FREE

 

EVENT START/FINISH TIME :    Racing will begin @ 9.30am both Saturday and Sunday and wrap up racing at approximately 4.30pm.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTATIONS WILL BE 30 MINUTES AFTER THE FINAL RACE ON SUNDAY.  PRESENTATION AREA WILL BE LOCATED IN PUBLIC VIEWING AREA

 

ENTRY TO THE PIT AREA :  Due to Safety & Hazard Regulations the Pit Area will be closed to Public Traffic for the event.  PIT AREA will however be open after the final race of each day.  No thongs, smoking or alcohol is allowed in the Pit Area at any time.

 

VIEWING AREA FOR SPECTATORS :

 The viewing area for spectators is lawn area with minimal shade available.  The Race Circuit is staged directly in view in front of the spectator area and provides uninterrupted viewing of the entire course.

 The event is a fully catered and fully licensed event.

NO BYO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED INTO THE EVENT, BAGS AND ESKIES

WILL BE CHECKED.  YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE EVENT WITHOUT REFUND FOR BREACH OF THIS RULE.
